Being outdoors is a passion for me; from recreational sports to camping and working! I started working at a local nursery when I was 14 years old where we primarily worked with ornamental grasses, hostas and daylilies. I was interested in turf grass management in high school (Pine Forest) and decided to take the turf science class offered at George Stone Tech the 4 years I was able.
After 6 years of working at the nursery, I decided to work for a large lawn care company. I started out aerating then working on an actual lawn route and treating residential lawns. I then became the tree and shrub specialist and worked on the commercial accounts we had. Wanting to grow with the company, I took a management role and eventually began running 3 locations across the Florida panhandle.
In December of 2020, my wife, Megan, and I adopted two boys and I decided shortly after that to start Hays Lawn to build something that will one day allow more family time and to pass down when I am ready to retire.
Nathan Hays is one of the hardest working, industrious, customer-centric people I have ever come across.
